Fitting Information
 Mermaid bathroom shower wall panels can
be fitted on to virtually any surface with minimal preparation
– even over existing ceramic tiles.
Mermaid
bathroom shower wall panels can be fitted around
the entire bathroom wall or just within a showers
enclosure if you prefer – the choice is yours.
600mm bathroom shower wall panels are tongued and
grooved to both long edges for fast, continuous fitting
around the walls. It is also possible to begin with
a bathrooom shower wall panel in the corner of a room and continue
around the walls with bathroom shower wall panels.
Wherever
you decide to fit bathroom shower wall panels, you can be sure that
you’ll save the time and effort of fitting literally
hundreds of tiles. Not to mention the mess!
 Bathroom
shower wall panels are available in three different
widths: 600mm for bathroom walls, and 900mm or 1200mm
for the perfect fit into showers enclosures. They
can be cut and drilled easily to accommodate shelving,
mirrors, sanitary fittings and to fit above doors
and windows. A range of co-ordinating profiles give
neat edges and application of the recommended sealant
in the joints will ensure that bathroom shower wall panels remain completely
waterproof and watertight. We’re confident we

The

Installing Mermaid bathroom shower wall panels in a TWO-SIDED SHOWERS ENCLOSURE
Step 1
Fix the internal corner profile to the wall and supply sealant into one of the channels.
Step 2
Insert a panel into the profile and fix to the wall through the fixing lip. On 1200mm wide panels you will need to fix through the board, ensuring the screws will be hidden by the shower screen.
Step 3
Apply sealant into the other channel of the profile and insert the second panel.
Step 4
Finish off the exposed outer panel edges with snap-in edging or other edging profile.
Please
note that Mermaid bathroom Shower Wall panels are
designed specifically for use in showers enclosures.
They are not tongued and grooved, so can not be joined
together as continual wall lining without the use
of joining strips.
Installing Mermaid in a THREE-SIDED SHOWER ENCLOSURE
Step 1
Fix one of the internal corner profiles to the wall and apply sealant into the side wall channel. Insert a panel into the profile and fix to the side wall through the fixing lip. On 1200mm wide panels you will need to fix through the board, ensuring the screws will be hidden by the shower screen.
 Step 2
Apply sealant into the other internal corner profile and push the profile on to the second panel. Also apply sealant into the other channel of the first profile. Insert the second panel and swing into position to form the back of the enclosure.
Step 3
Fix the second internal corner profile to the wall and apply sealant to the remaining channel. Insert the third panel and fix to the wall through the fixing lip.
Step 4
Finish off the exposed outer panel edges with snap-edging or other edging profiles.
